Elastollan® TPU is a trusted solution for automotive under hood, industrial manufacturing and health care applications that require outstanding heat aging and hydrolysis-resistant properties.

Wire and cable jacketed with Elastollan® TPU is a trusted solution for manufacturers to comply with LV 112, UL 1581, ISO 6722 standards.

Elastollan® TPU is widely used for cable jacketing applications because it provides flexibility with high mechanical durability, oil resistance, inherent microbial resistance and excellent low temperature flexibility.

Elastollan® TPU Solutions for LV 112

The requirements for single core cables for road vehicles regarding resistance against constant humid heat (hydrolysis test) are described in LV 112 – electrical cables for motor vehicles. This standard requires a storage of the cable for 3000h at a temperature of 85°C and a relative humidity of 85%.
